About MOREOB
The MOREOB Program has been delivering results for more than five years to thousands of caregivers, their obstetric teams, their hospital’s quality performance and to the women they care for. The Program was initially developed by the Patient Safety Division of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) as a keystone in their vision of patient safety.
The combined investiture of SOGC and HIROC has provided the necessary resources to expand the highly successful MOREOB (Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently program) and Advancing with MOREOB programs across Canada and in the United States.

The formation of Salus Global Corporation provided the opportunity for these two organizations to bring together their commitment and dedication to work together towards a safer healthcare system. The new company combines the patient and healthcare safety expertise of each organization. Their common interests and unique strengths in patient safety will benefit Salus in their quest to provide the leadership for improved performance necessary to achieve safer healthcare in the North American and international environment.

Formation of MOREOB
Under the leadership of Dr JK Milne in his role as Associate Executive Vice President of the SOGC and originator of the concept of the program, a Working Group of Obstetricians, Family Physicians, Midwives, Registered Nurses and Hospital Administrators developed the educational content, tools and materials for the MOREOB Program. We recognize the significant contributions of the Working Group and other program contributors to the program’s success in improving patient safety. We also wish to thank The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for its contribution to the development of the clinical content components of the MOREOB Program for the United States practice environment.
